Today is the Day! #musings #facebook #event #BeautifulSkin #LGBTQ #AuthorTakeover #writing

So, I had planned on writing some this month, get my act together for this author takeover for Beautiful Skin (thank you Wendy Stone for running it!), and post more about what is going on.

You know how plans go, right?

What’s an author takeover? Well, in Facebook, there’s a group called RGR – M/M and LGBT Book Events that’s attached to RGR (Rainbow Gold Reviews) that I’ve been a reviewer with for the last almost 5 years (it’s been that long, wow). Authors spend scheduled time talking about the theme and their books. Today, we are celebrating the Beautiful Skin Anthology that released late August 2018. Come join us!

Details below. You do have to be a member to participate, but it’s a public group. Join and us admins will add you to it. *wink*

I’m working on the next Persons of Color Anthology that’s paranormal-based. I’m not sure when I will finish. I’ll have to see. Work has been… busy. We’ll just leave it at that. There’s some personal family stuff that I’ve been dealing with and so my plate has been full. Since writing relaxes me, I’m going to try to find time to work on stuff this weekend in between things. I will definitely be in a much better place if I can accomplish things. 🙂

As always, I will try to do more blog posts, maybe restart my blog story or start a new one, and be around more. It’s fun to sink into the world of reading and writing. I miss it.

Takeover will be devoted to Beautiful Skin, of which, Together is within. You might even see the cover reveal of my individual story…

It’s been a long several months. Work, teeth issues, family drama, traveling… it’s all taken a toll. I hope to be able to finish my paranormal romance of color that’s due end of this month. I can do it. It’s only 15k words. I did start it. Just need to finish. We’ll see.

I’ll try to get a better update here soon. I have a few reviews I owe as well.

Until then… come join me next Saturday for an hour of fun!

Author Chat over at Rainbow Gold Reviews #AuthorChat #FacebookEvent #Prizes #Giveaways

Hola!

So, I’m being an official author (as opposed to an unofficial one??? *shrug* dunno) and will be doing an hour-long author chat over at Rainbow Gold Reviews (RGR) Facebook 2nd Anniversary Marathon Author Chat event. I will be online over there with Adan DePiaz (co-author of Coil Me Up) and Annabeth Albert starting at 10 PM CDT (Central) until 11 PM CDT. That’s 11 PM EDT (Eastern) for me. *G* There will be time zone converting on the event page. I think.

Come join us for a celebration of RGR’s 2nd Anniversary (of which I have been a part of since the beginning) where there are more than 50 authors to chat with in the LGBT writing arena (including myself), prizes, giveaways, prizes, chats, prizes… did I mention prizes? *BIG GRIN* It starts at midnight CDT 4/1/2016 and lasts until midnight 4/2/2016.

I’ll be in and out during the day because… work.

So bring your questions about our works. Bring your questions about any authors participating. Who knows? You may get a prize for participating…

Another week goes by…

Well…I planned to have another installment of Elf Magic ready for today.

Didn’t quite pan out. 😉

Instead, I scheduled a few posts, updated my nook, rummaged around Facebook, grabbed another book to review, updated stuff on Goodreads (see Charon’s Dilemma, my free read I published with Goodreads MM Romance Group), and posted a review on my blog.  There’s also work, backing up my personal computer because I’ve read about the horror stories on Faceback with losing your WIPs and writings.  I’m in IT, so I know better anyway.  Luckily, Dropbox or Google Drive is your friend. Evernote too. And, multiple redundant backup solutions. 🙂

I will have to see if I can post another installment this weekend.  However, being on call for work will either prevent or promote this endeavor. *grin*

Now, I’m going to be really geeky and play a computer game…

Overseas service men and women: Free eBook!

Reposted from Patrick Donovan’s Facebook post with permission.  Please pass this along.

So, I wanted to put this out there, and see if you folks would be kind enough to help me spread the word: I am going to give an ebook copy of my book, Demon Jack, to any serviceman or woman currently serving overseas absolutely free of charge. There’s no string attached, I don’t expect anything in return, or anything like that. The only thing you have to do is email me (pdonovanauthor@gmail.com). That’s it. I will ask, however, that those of you that have friends or family that are in the military and overseas, that you pass this along to them, share it on your facebook, that sort of thing and help spread the word. I’ve included the back cover blurb for the book, just so folks have an idea of what it’s about, to see if it’s something that would interest them. This is, in my own small way, a way to say thank you.

Simple choice:

Stay dead and go to Hell,
Or sell your soul to a demon and keep breathing.

Fifteen years ago, Jack died and chose the latter. Now, a few years out of prison and living on the streets of Boston, Jack is perfectly content to keep a low profile and avoid his turbulent past.

Being a faceless “nobody” suits Jack just fine.

It’s working out until the only person he considers a friend turns on him, possessed by something far worse than the demon holding the contract to Jack’s soul. Now, he’s been recruited (some might say blackmailed) by an ancient order with roots in the Inquisition to hunt down whatever malevolent force is responsible for turning Boston’s homeless into ravenous killers. At the same time, someone from his past with a massive vendetta and nothing in the way of conscience, is looking for Jack, hoping to issue a little payback of his own.

Paired with a centuries old witch and the only person to survive the rampage thus far, Jack is in a race to track down whatever’s responsible for killing his people, all while staying one step ahead of the skeletons in his closet.
